A new look? It took some doing (I always struggle with the background) but I think the new toplevel of the site is looking nice. And hey, new domain name! We're MACHINEHEAVEN.NET now, instead of heavendeluxe.com. I'll hold onto the old domain to point it here, but I'm happy with the change. Did you know machineheaven dot com is over $2,000 USD!? I always did like .net better....

Um, anyway. Hi! It's been a long, long winter. I spent about twenty hours shoveling my car out of snow (including one very long, very sore day of doing the entire hill, a few feet of progress at a time). I'm sick for the eighth time this season as I write this. Awesome. But hey, some good things——I spent a lot of time getting to research and study tarot, one of my special interests (note to self: make a shrine page for this eventually), and I've been doing a lot of workshopping lately to my commission workflow so I can bring it back in full force. I'm planning to pace myself on the reintroduction, but I'm genuinely excited to get back to work on these sorts of things.

Oh and, of course, Monster Hunter Wilds came out. If, uh.... If you know anything about me.... Well, I'm too embarrassed to say how many hours I've clocked so far but just know that I'm healed or whatever.

For this update I've (obviously) redone the look of the top layer of the site, updated my commission menu, made new linkback buttons, changed (most....) logos and username mentions, added and fixed old social media links, fixed a few general things I'd been neglecting, and probably a few other little things I've forgotten. Aside from that I don't think there's too much to add.... Let's treat this like my IRL paper journal and do some lists, hm?

Some things I'd like to do with the site this year:

• add a log of previous site designs
• redo the portal area to be a bit more lively-looking (although I do adore the navigation page and it'll be hard to let go of.... hmmmm....)
• add more albums to mixpik
• port my neopets petpages over to the site so they're more accessible (and finish more of them!)
• aforementioned shrine page for tarot (more my personal interests than a general overview)
• maybe one for monster hunter too....
• address the list of potential scrapbook toys that I could make
• add yearly art overview page so it's not all awkwardly in stash
• maybe get a scanner so I can share my collages/other traditional art???

And some IRL things:

• press a nice big clover (and paste it into my journal WITHOUT tearing it this time)
• start writing letters again
• solo camping trip
• more collages and carved stamps
• go back to my to-be-read pile (i was doing good for a bit....!)

I'm sure I'll think of more things. The sun gives me inspiration as if I were a lizard upon a rock. Maybe you should make your own list?
